About the Author/作者介绍： Alexandra Milton was born in Paris and brought up on a diet of beautifully-illustrated children’s books.. She is an artist and illustrator and works primarily in collage, using cut or torn handmade papers from across the world. These are then assembled in layers to create images of birds and other animals. Milton draws inspiration from the natural world and from old botanical and ornithological engravings. She is the daughter of the German artist Wolfram Aichele and granddaughter of the celebrated animal artist, Erwin Aichele. Their paintings have also provided inspiration for her work. Her brother is the jeweller Benedikt Aichele. Milton studied fine art at the Academie Charpentier in Paris.
