English Summary/英文概要: We have become superheroes. Nothing can resist us anymore -persons, ideas, facts, realities, beings. Everything in this universe ranks below us. At least, it ranks below our capacity to comment it, to evaluate it, to judge it. We have become superheroes because we have provided ourselves with a tool that puts everything under the scrutiny of our judgment: criticism. Since its first formulation at the dawn of the 16th century, criticism has developed into a superpower. But this superpower has now turned against us. As it has become almost universal, everyone has turned into someone whose capacity to judge, approve, and discard equals that of others Whereas criticism aimed at differentiate through judgment, such a distinction has become impossible when everybody is able to disriminate according to their own will. Hence the confusion of the present -our current inability to think. For every judgement that we pronounce, there is another one in the opposite direction -with grounds as solid as ours, and the same rights to express itself Left criticism or right criticism. Radical criticism or conservative criticism. Movie criticism, literary criticism, culinary criticism. Critical architecture, critical design, critical pedagogy. Critical mind, critical attitude. Outside of criticism, there seems to be no thinking left -yet criticism leaves us helpless. Isn’t time, then, to shed a new light on the very history of criticism, and try and understand the path that has led to our current predicament? Isn’t it time to try and invent a new way of thinking, beyond the necessities of criticism? A way of thinking that is not based upon power or force -but upon something else, something radically different? In "Superweak," Laurent de Sutter advocates for a form of "postcritical" thinking that could radically change our mindset -and, with it, our relationship to the world, the others and the things that surround us. A form of thinking whose main tenet is not based on judgment, grounds, reasons or explanation -but on our ability to experiment and explore with what is stronger than us.

Awards/获奖情况: The main watchword of pop philosophy, which was already a watchword dear to Deleuze, is indeed the word "novelty": in front of a world which does not cease to renew itself, it is also necessary to renew our equipment of concepts, and our habits of understanding. Laurent de Sutter, in Liberation
