I have started reading it and it’s very funny and engaging.
Set in a fictional African dictatorship in the two days leading up to an attempted coup, narrators of Please Do Not Disturb include a nine-year old English boy, a corrupt government minister, a nurse to the ailing dictator and a drunken Irish journalist trying – and failing – to write the great African novel. They are joined in the cast of characters by an American hip-hop star, the sinister head of the secret police, a mercenary on an assassination mission and an ex-prostitute with a temper like the devil.
