About the Author/作者介绍: JONATHAN PALANT,著名声乐教师、教练,在美国多所大中学院校执教。曾于2007年至2011年间担任“龟溪合唱团”艺术总监。Palant教授也是一位活跃的客座艺术家,在美国和加拿大多次开设兴趣班进行男声合唱教学。带领合唱团前往古巴、丹麦、英国、芬兰、意大利、西班牙等多个国家进行演出。
JONATHAN PALANT teaches at Richland College in Dallas, Texas, serves as minister of music at Dallas’ Kessler Park United Methodist Church, and is the conductor of CREDO, an ecumenical mixed choir. Palant was artistic director of
the Turtle Creek Chorale from 2007 to 2011. He has held collegiate teaching positions at Western Kentucky University and at Madonna University in Livonia,Michigan, and he taught secondary choral music at University School, an all-boys independent school in Cleveland, Ohio, and at San Pasqual High School in Escondido, California. An active clinician and guest artist, Dr. Palant has conducted all-state men’s choruses, presented interest sessions at regional and national
music conventions, and been artist-in-residence both in the U.S. and in Canada.He has toured extensively with his choirs and led concert tours to Cuba, Denmark,England, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Sweden. Dr. Palant
sits on the board of directors of the Intercollegiate Men’s Choruses and has served
on the boards of the Michigan chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and of Youth First Texas, where he was founder and conductor of Dallas PUMP!, a choir serving at-risk youth. Dr. Palant holds degrees from Michigan State University, Temple University, and the University of Michigan.
