Mike grew up in West Orange, New Jersey. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Montclair State University and his MBA from Rutgers University.
Since 1993, he’s had a successful career in the medical insurance industry. In 1997, he co-founded an employee benefits insurance brokerage firm, which he left in 2007 to become an independent broker.
He currently lives in Orlando, Florida with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys travelling with his family, playing guitar, reading, distance running and a good game of basketball. An insatiable curiosity for science and human behavior—particularly group-think herding tendencies—fuels his book ideas. And he’s a lefty.
