Steve has to travel back to Canada where Beau lives after fleeing from the country years ago because of a dangerous enemy, who called himself Romero. Steve walks into the office of the chop shop and tries to get his pay for the week, but the staff knock him out and send him to a place that is unknown to Steve. Steve’s co-worker, Leroy, tries to save him and help him get back to Canada. Will Steve get into Canada alive? If so, will his tests pass? I picked this book because it looked like a good book that I would enjoy reading. I would recommend this to people who like realistic fiction.

Marilyn Halvorson is the award-winning author of a number of young adult novels set in Western Canada. Marilyn’s 20 years as a teacher also saw the beginning of her writing career. Inspired by her students, she pursued a long-time interest in story writing and was fortunate enough to win a contest. Part of the prize was publication of her first Young Adult novel, Cowboys Don’t Cry, which was later made into a movie that premiered at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. Since then she has published 11 more Young Adult novels and one non-fiction journal: To Everything a Season. When not writing, she runs her cattle ranch near Sundre, Alberta.
