Jennifer Novotney is the author of several books for young readers. She was a 2014 recipient of the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award for WINTER IN THE SOUL and she was recently honored with a 2015 Scholastic Educator Award in Writing. She attended California State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and graduated with highest honors in English. Jennifer also attended Northern Arizona University, earning her master’s degree in English. She has been teaching English and writing for over ten years and several of her students have won awards in poetry, dramatic script, fiction, and non-fiction.
