Martin MacInnes was born in Inverness and is now based in Edinburgh. He has written for 3:AM Magazine, Ambit, Edinburgh Review, and many other journals. In 2014 he won the Manchester Fiction Prize and a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award. He has read at international science and literature festivals, and occupied a six week residency at Cove Park in 2015.
