Awards/获奖情况：Ages 3^-7. A young girl appreciatively catalogs all the best things about going on vacation when you’re "big." You can ride your bike, make new friends, build sand castles, and, best of all, ride on the carousel. You pick your favorite horse ("He is white and silver with a red saddle. I call him Thunder"), and you might even be big enough to grab the brass ring and win another ride. Tafuri’s people are never quite as well executed as her animals, but the warmth of the feelings and the cheery, large illustrations make this a good story hour choice. Nancy Tafuri is probably best known as the creator of Have You Seen My Duckling?, a 1985 Caldecott Honor Book described by Parent’s Choice as "beautifully precise yet emotionally affecting." Trained as a graphic designer, Tafuri has authored more than 50 books over 30 years for the very young.
