Hayley Birch is a science writer and editor with a sideline in quirky science projects. A former Editor at the Journal of Unlikely Science, she has written for New Scientist, Nature, The Telegraph and BBC Focus magazines. She is the author of 50 Chemistry Ideas You Really Need to Know, and Defining Moments in Science. Mun-Keat Looi is a science writer and features editor. He is commissioning editor of Mosaic, the Wellcome Trust’s unique publisher of indepth science stories. He was shortlisted for the Rising Star of British Media Awards 2015. Colin Stuart is a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and a physics and space geek. A presenter at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, he has also written for the Guardian, New Scientist, Physics World and the European Space Agency. He is the brains behind one of the most watched science videos on YouTube. In 2014 he was awarded runner-up in European Astronomy Journalism Prize. Together these three authors have written Carlton’s hugely popular pop science title – Big Questions in Science: The Quest to Solve the Great Unknowns.
