在1998年创建博时之前，肖风博士于1993年进入深圳市证券管理办公室工作，历任副处长、处长、证管办副主任。1992年到中国人民银行深圳经济特区分行就职，历任证券管理处科长、副处长。此前，肖风博士还曾在深圳康佳电子集团股份有限公司担任董事会秘书兼股证委员会主任。
