Awards/获奖情况：The novel was just featured in Publishers Weekly Best Spring 2016 Adult novels – named in the Top 10 Horror genre along novels such as Joshua Gaylord’s When We Were Animals and Paul Tremblay’s A Head Full of Ghosts. This is not a straight horror novel though – Malfi focuses more on the emotionality of the characters that are struggling through these dire and near-apocalyptic circumstances.

In 2011, his ghost story/mystery novel, Floating Staircase, was nominated for a Stoker Award by the Horror Writers Association for best novel, and also won a Gold IPPY Award for best horror novel. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he now lives in the Chesapeake Bay area with his wife and daughter.
