About the Author/作者介绍： Valerie Volk，诗人、小说家。过去曾经担任英语教师、三级讲师、国际教育项目负责人。曾经获得过诗歌、散文方面的奖项，在期刊、选集、杂志上发表了多部作品。她现在居住在阿德莱德。《旁观者》是她的第6本书。

Valerie Volk is a writer of poetry, verse novels and short fiction. In past lives she has been a secondary English teacher, tertiary lecturer, and director of an international education program. Valerie has won awards for poetry and prose and has published widely in journals, anthologies and magazines. She lives in Adelaide. Bystanders is her sixth book.
