Laura Kelly is a California Board-Certified Primary Care Physician and licensed practitioner of Chinese Medicine. Her private practice in Topanga, California, is focused on primary care and chronic disease. As part of her thesis work in the Integrative Medicine doctoral program at Yo San University in Los Angeles, she is documenting the biomechanical effects of longevity herbs in the Chinese Materia Medica. She is enrolled in the Functional Medicine Certificate Program at the Institute of Functional Medicine and is licensed to teach Harmony-style Qi Gong. On her blog, Case Notes, she writes about the relationships between food quality, environmental toxins, and health.
Helen Kelly has enjoyed a 50-year career as an educator, editor, and research writer. She has been an executive coach and business writer and was faculty editor at the Yale University Medical, Business, Law, and Public Health Schools, where she coauthored award-winning articles and books with such academic luminaries as Dorothy Singer and James Comer.
