Patricia Caliskan began her writing career as an entertainment journalist, before graduating with honours in English and Communication Studies. She then joined Trinity Mirror newsgroup as a lifestyle magazine editor, before joining Bauer Media as a commercial scriptwriter based at Radio City 96.7. Awful by Comparison is her first novel.
