English Summary/英文概要： Lou returns to the sea, determined to die on the beach where Guillaume taught her how to swim. But she is rescued by members of the Wim community. They appear to live in har-mony, but Lou soon realises that beneath the surface their leader insidiously controls every aspect of day-to-day life. Not to mention the fact that the community also does away with the elderly. Lou becomes close with one old woman, Maria, who remembers the world like it was before perfectly, and seems to have played an important role in its collapse. Maria tells Lou about a big community called the Gentle, in the centre of the country, who chose a more harmonious way of life, since they were already cut off from the world before the dis-aster. With the help of another young boy who is in love with her, Lou leaves the commu-nity.
