Dear readers, thank you for visiting my Amazon Page. I grew up in Essex and Berkshire, before studying English Literature in London. I then became a teacher and taught in London, Seville and Athens. I wrote books for teaching English as a foreign language and my first novel The Missing Girl was published in 2017.
My love of writing grew from my love of reading. When I was a child, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by books at home, but I also went to my local library and read as many books as I could get hold of. My first short story was published in the local newspaper when I was about twelve. After that, I wrote a novel inspired by Agatha Christie.
Today I write emotional mysteries and thrillers, focusing on my characters’ motivations and reactions as much as the plot. I’m interested in real life stories and the way ordinary people cope with terrible things. I often take inspiration from news stories, but also from listening carefully to people around me.
I love being a writer and can’t imagine doing anything else. I try to write or edit my work every day because I feel that I’ll lose the momentum of a story if I don’t.
I live in Berkshire with my husband and children and our two gorgeous dogs, both border collies.
