About the Author/作者介绍： Samuel Langley-Swain一直夢想當一個作家，他是一名設計師，多年來為全世界的品牌顧問公司工作，但當他在2014年領養了孩子而成為一個父親後，他的世界改變了，他受到孩子的許多啟發，並開始為孩子所面臨到的挑戰創作故事，在2017年，他自己出版了第一本書，該書在三個月內賣出了超過7000本，他接著又出版了《別看這本書》（專為不想閱讀的孩子所寫），以及《我的乳酪裡有大象》（為了不敢說出心事的孩子所寫），他在2018年成立了小貓頭鷹童書出版社(Owlet Press)，致力於出版有關社會、情緒和環境議題的童書，將重要的議題用有趣的故事介紹給小讀者，讓家長和學校能和孩子們一起討論。台灣已出版他的作品《奇裝異服的衛斯理》。

I hadn’t always dreamed of being an author - originally I trained as an artist and then worked in brand strategy all over the world; but MY world changed in 2014 when I became a Dad through adoption. As I began to be inspired by my children and this new universe I’d entered into, I started writing stories inspired by the many challenges my children faced navigating this new world.. In 2017, I sold over 7,000 copies of my debut self-published title in the first 3 months. This enabled me to publish ’Don’t Look in This Book’ (designed to engage reluctant readers) and ’Elephants In The Custard’ (designed to help younger children talk about worries and feelings) in 2018 and create new Children’s Publishers Owlet Press. Now in 2010 we have ten books in the market and counting . . . ​

Myself and the other Owlet authors now focus on inclusive books that discuss social, emotional or envrionmental issues, packaging these big issues into accessible and fun stories for readers to digest and discuss with friends, families and schools. ​
