Parenting has to be one of the, if not THE most difficult ‘jobs’ I have ever had! No training required, no exam to sit and a once you have accepted, it’s a role for life.
When I became a parent, a mother, I had no idea what I had let myself in for. The mother of three boys with a myriad of challenges, medical conditions, disabilities, issues and no instruction book that came with them, arghhh. I knew I wanted to do my best, get it right and started to look outside mainstream help and support for answers.
In 2006 as a single mum I embarked upon a Neuro Linguistic Programming course, that was the start of my realising how important the unconscious mind and language really were in communication. I became a Hypnotherapist and trained in Energy therapies. This was all put to good use in how I parented. It helped enormously with my youngest son, on the Autistic Spectrum and with the other two too, who are not.
A journey of personal and spiritual development introduced me to eastern philosophies and principles that when combined with NLP and hypnotherapy lead to me creating ‘Parenting Magic’ and writing my first book Parenting Magic – A New Approach to Behaviour & Communication.
A far cry from my ‘acting days! I now spend my time as a transformational life and parenting coach an emotional re-balancing therapist, An Eanegy Alignment Method mento and mother to my three wonderful sons
I have my BA Hons Degree in Drama and Classical Literature and have had the pleasure of working with some of our best known actors, David Jason, David Tenant, Helena Bonham carter and have appeared in well-known soaps and many TV adverts. This is behind me now and am writing and reading from my own scripts. I love coaching and delivering workshops and presenting and have spoken on stage at International Parenting and Communication conferences.
