Howard National Reporting Competition,the Hearst Foundation National Journalism Award for In-Depth Writing and Personality Profile,Tribune Media Services National Award for Features Writing and Society of Professional Journalists National Award for In-Depth Reporting.She was also a finalst for the 2003 Chesterfield Screenwriting Fellowship.Most recently,she has written for the Dallas Morning News and the Wall Street Journal.She lives in Austin,Texas.
