About the Author/作者介绍： Frederick Forsyth is the author of fourteen novels and short story collections, from 1971’s The Day of the Jackal to 2003’s Avenger. A former pilot and print and television reporter, he has had five movies made from his works, and a television miniseries.
Frederick Forsyth 於 1961 年加入路透，時年 23 歲的他，非常熱切想成為國外特派員。他在路透的服務期間曾任職於巴黎及東柏林，而兩地的工作經驗也成為靈感來源，促使他後來寫出暢銷小說。
