English Summary/英文概要： The story of Imriel de la Courcel, the boy prince rescued from Darsanga by Phèdre nó Delaunay. Now a teenager, he has been adopted by Phèdre and her consort, Joscelin.
Though he is an heir to the throne, Imriel has no interest in the crown. He makes this known, but some of the members of the Court begin to frame him, implying that he longs for power. After much soul searching, Imriel decides that he needs to leave Terre d=Ange so that the rumors have time to die down and so that he might discover himself more fully. He sheds the royal portion of his name and flees to Tiberion to attend university while pretending to be a simple scholar.
Unfortunately for Imriel, changing his name is not enough to hide who he is. In Tiberion, he is forced to confront his foes, face his demons, and accept his fate – all on his own.
