About the Author/作者介绍： Frederick Forsyth 这位曾分别因《漫长的告别》（The Long Goodbye）和《豺狼的日子》（The Day of the Jackal）荣誉爱伦坡奖殊荣而声名大噪的畅销作家。于1961年加入路透，时年23岁的他，非常热切想成为国外特派员。他在路透的服务期间曾任职与巴黎以及东柏林，而两地的工作经验也成为灵感来源，促使他后来写出畅销小说。他于1965年离开路透，在BBC英国广播公司工作过一段时间。另著有《The Day of the Jackal》、《 The Odessa File》、《 The Dogs of War》、《 The Devil’s Alternative》、《 The Fourth Protocol》、《 The Negotiator》、《The Deceiver》、《 The Fist of God and Icon》等。
