FIBROMYALGIA AND CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME: SEVEN PROVEN STEPS TO LESS PAIN AND MORE ENERGY

Book ID/图书代码: 09700006B04188

English Summary/英文概要: This well-organized, evidence-based program of lifestyle improvement, cognitive change, and stress reduction is a revolutionary advance in the treatment of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). Presented by a leading research on the subject who enjoys the backing of the National Institutes for Health (NIH), this book examines the similarities and frequent concurrence of fibromyalgia and CFS. It argues for a connection between stress, overwhelming responsibility, and problems with fibromyalgia and CFS. The book offers a seven-step program of lifestyle modifications that have been proven effective by the author’s research and clinical experience.
In step one, you’ll learn how to use relaxation techniques to beat stress. Better sleep, anger control, and time management make up steps two, three, and four. Step five focuses on overcoming worry and guilt about personal responsibility, and you’ll learn proactive ways to ease distressing symptoms of pain and fatigue in step six. Finally, in step seven, the issue of finding and maintaining sources of personal support is covered. If followed closely, this program will yield major improvements for sufferers of both fibromyalgia and CFS.
