About the Author/作者介绍： Martin Van Creveld ,professor of history at Hebrew University,Jerusalm,is one of world’s best –known experts on military history and strategy.Born in the Netherlands ,he was educated in Israel and England and began his academic career in 1971.He has written seventeen books ,which have been translated into fourteen languages.The most notable are Supply War,Command in War,and The Transformation of war ,which is widely regarded as the most important text on the future of armed conflict.
