She also served as executive editor at Harper’s Bazaar and New Woman. She launched My Generation, a magazine for baby boomers, in 1999. She now writes for Good Housekeeping, New York, AARP, and Oprah magazines, among others. Her memoir, Nothing to Fall Back On, published in 2002, was a bestseller.
