About the Author/作者介绍： Marjorie Weinman Sharmat 1928年出生於緬因州波特蘭。她從小夢想成為一位作家。當時，她的確無法想像後來會成為一位為各個年齡段撰寫130本書的作家。她的另一個夢想是成為一位偵探，這個夢想也隨著廣受歡迎的“Nate the Great series”的出版而實現。Sharmat的很多書都被文學協會選中出成文集；或被美國國會圖書館選為年度圖書。被改編成電影電視劇的數不勝數。其中，“Nate the Great Goes Undercover”贏得了洛杉磯國際兒童文學獎，“Nate the Great Saves the King of Sweden”被命名為紐約公共圖書館最應該閱讀和分析的100本書。

Born in Portland, Maine, in 1928, Marjorie Weinman Sharmat dreamed of becoming a writer. Little did she know that she would be the author of more than 130 books for children of all ages. Another of her childhood dreams, that of becoming a detective, has also been realized in her most popular Nate the Great series, begun in 1972. Many of Sharmat’s books have been Literary Guild selections and chosen as Books of the Year by the Library of Congress. Several have been made into films for television, including Nate the Great Goes Undercover, winner of the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival Award. Nate the Great Saves the King of Sweden has been named one of the New York Public Library’s 100 Titles for Reading and Sharing.
