Chinese Summary/中文概要： 不知道大家有沒有看過去年金馬獎開幕電影”巴黎我愛你Paris, je t’aime”，電影中描述了在巴黎各處所發生關於”愛”的故事，有的故事轟轟烈烈，有的只是簡短愛的小故事，全劇以"愛”貫穿，看完以後有一種原來愛無所不在的感覺，好溫暖! 本書也是由數篇關於愛的短篇故事組成，作者將場景設在現代，故事中的角色通常都很寂寞、脆弱又非常低調。作者用簡潔但感人的小細節描繪出在愛裡的付出與失去，全書一共有18個小故事，在第一篇” Little Birds”中，小男孩的媽媽是巴黎的妓女因為過世所以小男孩被收養，養父對小男孩無條件付出所有的愛，因為小男孩的臉孔長的像中國人，爸爸為了怕小男孩自卑還告訴小男孩”你甚至比法國麵包還要法國呢!”，因為媽媽的死所以小男孩籠罩在失去母親的陰影下，養父一直鼓勵小男孩追求理想去念巴黎大學。另外一篇” As Much Below as Up Above”則是講到一名退休的俄羅斯海軍，每天下午都在布魯克林的海邊練習如何”下水”，因為在一次的潛艇意外中他失去了七名的同袍好友，回憶讓他害怕下水，而他卻又想學習衝浪，因為對他來說可以讓海水帶著他對那些同袍永不停止的愛與懷念。

About the Author/作者介绍： Simon Van Booy was born in London and grew up in rural Wales and Oxford. After playing football in Kentucky for two years, he lived in Paris and Athens. In 2002 he was awarded an M.F.A. and won the H.R. Hays Poetry Award. His journalism has appeared in magazines and newspapers including the New York Times and the New York Post. Simon Van Booy now lives in New York City where he teaches at the School of Visual Arts and Long Island University. He is also involved in the Bard College Access Program for at-risk young adults.
