About the Author/作者介绍： 劳伦1966年出生于津巴布韦，16岁后离开农场。她曾做过记者，为运动英雄和纳什维尔的音乐家写过自传。她的回忆录《彩虹的尽头》将于2007年出版。她现今居住在伦敦。

Lauren St John was born in Rhodesia in 1966 and lived on a farm there until she was 16. She worked as a journalist for several years and has written biographies of sporting heroes and Nashville musicians for Transworld, Picador and Fourth Estate. Her memoir, RAINBOW’S END, will be published by Hamish Hamilton in spring 2007. She lives in London.
