About the Author/作者介绍： Mohammed Hanif was born in Okara, Pakistan. He graduated from Pakistan Air Force Academy as a Pilot Officer but subsequently left to pursue a career in journalism. He has worked for Newsline, India Today and The Washington Post. He has written plays for the stage and critically acclaimed BBc drama What Now, Now that we are dead? His feature film The Long Night has been shown at film festivals around the world. He is a graduate of University of East Anglia’s creative writing programme. He is currently head of BBC’s Urdu Service and lives in London.
穆罕默德·哈尼夫在巴基斯坦的卡拉出生。从巴基斯坦空军学校以少尉军衔毕业，之后改行往新闻界发展。曾经在《时事纵横》、《今日印度》和《华盛顿邮报》供职。曾为舞台剧创造剧本，严厉抨击BBC剧集。他的故事片《漫漫长夜》在世界各大电影节巡演。东英吉利大学基础写作课程毕业。现任BBC乌尔都语部门负责人，居住在伦敦。
