About the Author/作者介绍： Margaret Drabble 1939年出生于英國謝菲爾德市的約克郡，是出庭律師和小說家John F. Drabble的女兒，也是小說家A.S. Byatt.的妹妹。她是十八部小說和八部紀實性散文的作者。其作品包括1980年出版的《Arnold Bennett和Angus Wilson傳記》，Margaret Drabble被授予二等勳位爵士，在2008年又被授予高級英帝國女勳爵士。她與傳記作家Michael Holroyd成婚，並居住在倫敦和薩默塞特。Margaret Drabble was born in Sheffield in 1939 and educated at Cambridge. She was awarded a CBE in 1980. Her many novels include The Radiant Way (1987), A Natural Curiosity (1989), The Gates of Ivory (1991), The Peppered Moth (2000), The Seven Sisters (2002) and The Red Queen (2004) all of which are published by Penguin. Margaret Drabble is married to the biographer Michael Holroyd and lives in London.
