About the Author/作者介绍： Melissa Nathan was born and raised in Hertfordshire and now lives in North London with her husband. A journalist for ten years, she writes novels full time and is the acclaimed author of The Nanny and Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field.
Melissa Nathan生於英國赫特福郡，當過12年的記者，並於1998年投入於小說創作的工作，首部小說Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field（目前更名為Acting Up）於2000年出版後陸續推出Persuading Annie、The Nanny、The Waitress、The Learning Curve等四部暢銷愛情小說，不過卻在2006年2月因癌症驟然逝世，享年37歲。2007年以其名義所創立的基金會及浪漫小說文學獎（Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance），便是以幫助急難家庭救助為宗旨，期望為每個家庭及女性帶來幸福的生活。
