About the Author/作者介绍： Donna Jo Napoli teaches linguistics and is the author of several novels for middle graders and young adults, including Ugly, Zel, Song of the Magdalene, The Magic Circle, and The Prince of the Pond: Otherwise Known as De Fawg Pin.
Illustrator LITA JUDGE lives in Peterborough, NH with her husband and two cats. She grew up with grandparents who kept owls and hawks in the house as part of their wildlife research and parents who spent endless hours huddled in cold cramped quarters photographing wildlife. She sees animals as individuals and focuses on their unique character and charm when drawing them.
唐娜．喬．娜波莉（Donna Jo Napoli）於哈佛取得數學學士學位及羅曼語言及文學博士學位，博士後研究則在麻省理工學院專攻語言學。著有許多青少年相關文學及兒童小說。
