About the Author/作者介绍： Michael Fordham is a freelance writer and associate editor at a variety of surf journals. He has been features editor at Dazed & Confused and launched his own award-winning magazine, Boardsports. Michael began surfing as a teenager at Sydney’s northern beaches. In pursuit of his surfing obsessions be has braved mortar shells in El Salvador and has paddled through the barbed-wire beaches of Gaza. Michael has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the culture of wave riding and is one of surfing’s most passionate and articulate voices.
Michael Fordham出生於澳洲雪梨的北海岸的邦迪海灘(Bondi Beach)，從那開啟了他的衝浪之門，目前為自由作家，曾替許多衝浪雜誌撰寫專欄及報導，包含著名潮流雜誌Dazed & Confused及自創的衝浪雜誌Boardsports都可見他對此運動文化的專業報導及評論。
