Peter Almond is the former Defence Correspondnt of Britain’s Daily Telegraph and the USA’s Washington Times and is now a freelance writer on aviation and defence. The son of a career RAF officer, he has been around aircraft much o f his life and has flown missions in 11 US and British combat aircraft. In the course of his 33 years in journalism he has reported form, or above, Lebanon, Central America, Libya, Kuwait, Iraq, Israel and Bosnia.
