Awards/获奖情况：Lane Smith must be a hoot to hang out with. His books are always funny and sweet...and a little twisted. Kids love them. Kids recognize the original spirit behind the words and illustrations. Smith reminds me of another favorite author of mine, Vivian Walsh, and her book "Olive the Other Reindeer."

About the Author/作者介绍： Lane Smith is the author of John, Paul, George & Ben. He’s also the illustrator of Bob Shea’s Big Plans and Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach. His collaborations with Jon Scieszka include The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, and the Caldecott Honor Book The Stinky Cheese Man.
Lane lives in Connecticut with his wife, Molly, and their two Secret Service cats.
