About the Author/作者介绍： Andrea Vitali was born in 1956 in Bellano, on the east coast of the lake of Como, where he still lives and works as medical doctor. He published Il meccanico Landru (1992); A partire dai nomi (1994); L’Ombra di Marinetti (1995 - ; Aria del Lago (2001) and, with Garzanti, Una finestra vistalago (2003, Premio Grinzane Cavour 2004, and Premio letterario Bruno Gioffrè 2004), Un amore di zitella (2004), La signorina Tecla Manzi (2004, premio Dessì), La figlia del podestà (2005, premio Bancarella 2006), Il procuratore (2006, premio Montblanc per il romanzo giovane 1990), Olive comprese (2006); Il segreto di Ortelia (2007); La Modista (2008).
