About the Author/作者介绍： Dr Richard Parkinson is an Assistant Keeper in the Department of Ancient Egypt and Sudan, the British Museum. He is an expert on ancient Egyptian writings and papyri, and all the hieroglyphs in this book were specially drawn by him. His books include Voices from Ancient Egypt (BMP 1991), the prize-winning The Tale of Sinuhe and Other Ancient Egyptian Poems 1940 -1640 BC (Oxford 1999) and Cracking Codes (BMP 1999).
