關於正念減壓療法:
本書前言撰寫人:喬.卡巴金博士(Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D.)正念減壓療法創始人,美國麻省理工學院分子生物學博士、麻塞諸賽州醫學院的榮譽醫學博士,也是禪修指導師、作家。
1979年,卡巴金博士為麻州大學醫學院開設減壓診所,並設計了「正念減壓」課程(Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction,MBSR),協助病人以正念禪修處理壓力、疼痛和疾病,獲得多方肯定。二十多年來,卡巴金博士創發的「正念減壓療法」已被醫療、學校、企業、監獄等機構廣為應用,目前美、加等地約有二百多家醫療院所和相關機構都運用正念減壓療法幫助病人。
1995年,麻州大學再邀請卡巴金博士設立「正念醫療健康中心」。他開始進行關於身心互動療癒效能的研究與相關臨床應用,希望能藉此有效緩減慢性疼痛與壓力引起種種失調症狀。他亦協助推動佛教界領袖與西方科學家的對話與交流,以期更深刻探索人類的心智、情緒與疾病。

About the Author/作者介绍: Bob Stahl, Ph.D., founded and directs mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) programs in five medical centers in the San Francisco Bay area. A longtime mindfulness practitioner, Stahl has completed MBSR teacher certification at University of Massachusetts Medical Center and has lived in a Buddhist monastery for more than eight years. Stahl also serves as an adjunct senior teacher for Oasis, the institute for mindfulness-based professional education at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D., is a psychologist and MBSR and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy teacher in private practice in west Los Angeles. He is author of the audio CD series Mindful Solutions, which deals with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, and success at work. He is a professional blog writer for psychcentral.com and mentalhelp.net. Goldstein conducts workshops, radio interviews, and lectures on the therapeutic benefits of mindfulness.
