In addition to planes of the most varied and avant-garde designs, disc-shaped aircraft with never imagined capabilities emerged. To this list, one must add the “wonderful weapons” such as missiles designed for any war-time action, incredible “fireballs”, undetectable submarines, sonic and electric cannons, the endothermic bomb, and much more prodigious weaponry. History would have been different had Hitler not wasted time by giving top priority to weaponry designed for immediate and direct use in the different war fronts. Despite this and despite facing a losing battle in the war, the innovation capacity of the German scientists had no parallel in the world and allowed them to development wonders that seemed to come from stories of science fiction. The Führer realized his mistake too late and because of this, the development of the secret German weapons represented a fleeting reality, especially after the storming of the beaches of Normandy.

About the Author/作者介绍： Born in Getxo (Vizcaya) in 1949, José Miguel Romaña is a journalist and historian and has spent four decades dedicating his time to the analysis of the biggest military conflict of all time. During this time, he has contributed numerous articles to newspapers and magazines in Spain and Latin America.
