About the Author/作者介绍： Owen Sheers出生於1974年的斐濟，在英國南威爾斯的亞伯加維尼(Abergavenny, South Wales)長大。2000年發表的首部詩選集The Blue Book隨即入選「威爾斯年度好書」(Welsh Book of the Year)的決選名單及2001年Forward Prize Best First Collection。2004年出版以描述辛巴威歷史及現況的非小說作品The Dust Diaries，也入圍「翁達傑文學獎」Royal Society of Literature’s Ondaatje Prize的決選名單及贏得2005年「威爾斯年度好書」。《反叛》Resistance是他的首部小說創作，同樣一推出也廣獲好評，目前翻譯版權已售出十餘國，電影版權也於2009年6月傳來好消息。此外與英國名作曲家瑞秋‧波特曼Rachel Portman合作發表一部孩童的音樂聖劇oratorio「The Water Diviner’s Tale」也在英國皇家亞伯汀Royal Albert Hall首演時，造成廣大的迴響。目前他在紐約公共圖書館中「桃樂蒂與李維．庫曼中心」(Dorothy and Lewis B.
