About the Author/作者介绍： 作者Eve Ensler本身是婦權人士，也是一位非常前衛的女性作家。童年時不幸受到父親虐待，同時有感社會雖然發達先進，但女性仍視自己的身體為禁忌，對自身恐懼、尷尬和不接納，於是訪問了逾 200 名來自不同傳統、階級和民族的女性，就有關性、身體、陰道及暴力題目，96年寫成《Vagina Monologues》，以嬉笑怒罵的獨白形式將女性絕密檔案赤裸裸地呈現出來。2005年，台灣首次獲得美國「V-Day」授權在台公演Eve Ensler的不朽名作。
