About the Author/作者介绍： 洛恩尼斯•盖特休尼斯（Ioannis Gatsiounis），纽约人，00年移居亚洲东南部。他的非小说波及政治领域，颇有影响力；小说也很受欢迎，刊登在各大文章杂志上。这是他的小说系列处女作。

Born in New York City, Ioannis Gatsiounis relocated to Southeast Asia in 2000. His non-fiction has since run in publications across the political spectrum, from Newsweek and the International Herald Tribune to the Asian Wall Street Journal and Al-Jazeera. His definitive book on current conditions in Southeast Asia, Beyond the Veneer (Monsoon Books), was released last year. His fiction has appeared in the Evergreen Review, the Singapore Quarterly, and Skive Magazine, amongst other literary venues. Velvet & Cinder Blocks is his debut collection of fiction.
