About the Author/作者介绍： 愛卡在戰爭爆發時，還是ㄧ名政治系學生。戰爭期間，她在電台擔任記者並為外電擔任口譯員。她和安德魯結識婚後，搬到紐西蘭基督城，擁有兩個兒子。愛卡在基督城為商業雜誌Business Monthly擔任記者，並出版Just Me一書。她現在是繪圖設計師。
在塞拉耶佛被包圍的期間，海娜在克羅埃西亞以難民身分待了兩年。1995年她與家人來到紐西蘭時，一句英文也不會說。但七年過後，她以第一名成績自坎特伯里大學法律系畢業。後來她在紐西蘭一家大法律事務所擔任律師，最近則為倫敦一家法律事務所工作。
海娜婚後也定居在基督城。
