About the Author/作者介绍： Caroline Taggart出生於蘇格蘭的倫敦，童年時和父母一起居住在新澤西，曾就讀於英格蘭設菲爾德的一所大學。雖然她在皮姆利科已經生活了25年之多，但是仍然認為自己是一個倫敦人。Caroline Taggart在出版社工作接近20年，其中有18年都作為非小說編輯的自由職業者。她編輯過不計其數的歷史題材的作品，最為熟知的是喬納森•斯科特的《大貓日記》，與BBC配套書籍《與恐龍同行》，除此之外還有關於園藝、烹飪、健康、巫術、流行音樂、倫敦大轟炸、二戰中盟國的諾曼地登陸、下議院的運作還有英語類書籍。她自己撰寫過一本成年學生手冊，還有一本關於狗的百科全書，Writer’s Market UK 2009也是由Caroline Taggart擔任編輯。但是後來至少90%的關於這些科目的知識她都遺忘了，這便是她編寫此系列的初衷。
