So Naledi makes up her mind. She will have to get Mma who works more than 300 kilometres away in Johannesburg. The only way to let her know was to get to the big road and walk. So Naledi and her brother Tiro did just that...

About the Author/作者介绍： Beverley Naidoo是南非受欢迎的少儿文学作者，写过许多获奖小说，主要题材是南非的生活。她本人在那里度过了童年。1968年她毕业于约克大学教育系本科。
Naidoo曾两次获得乔塞特·法兰克文学奖――1986年《走向约翰内斯堡之旅》和1997年《无法回身：一本讲述南非的小说》。2000年她因《真相的另一面》而获得卡内基奖章。《真相的另一面》讲述的故事是政治腐败如何影响一个说实话的作家的孩子们的生活。
