“The main goal of this book is to take a snapshot – blurred as it may be – of myself and, particularly, of my present awareness and my conception of life, and to recount the world of entertainment as seen from behind the scenes, from the dressing rooms and the corridors of TV and radio studios.

I have given myself and the other main characters of these memoirs different names in order to be able to tell some episodes strictly respecting historical truth, while also respecting the personality and private life of those who have been cited without having asked to be. In this way, I was able to “mention the sins without mentioning the sinners”. On the other hand, I have used the real names of some famous celebrities, certain that they will not complain.

Having said this, I will simply let you read this work of mine, expressing my apologies, gratitude, and the hope – allow me some slight vanity – to “rescue” some of your time from boredom and idleness.”

安德烈．波伽利(Andrea Bocelli )，1985年生於義大利托斯卡尼省的比薩，出生不久即被診斷為青光眼，1970年十二歲時，於一場足球比賽中發生事故而導致全盲。1980年進入義大利比薩大學(Università di Pisa)就讀法律，之後取得法律博士學位。曾做過一年律師，但他心醉於歌劇與傳統義大利音樂，後於1987年開始在酒吧兼差歌唱，因而開啟了他的音樂生涯，拜師於義大利傳奇男高音Franco Corelli門下學習聲樂。2007年時已逝前義大利三大男高音之一帕華洛帝初聞波伽利歌聲，即對世人推薦這是一個不可多得的偉大男高音的誕生。
