English Summary/英文概要: It’s the minutely observed story of three aging nuns whose convent is about to close, tipping them out of the cloistered world they’ve known since they were young women into a new and strange one. One of them, Sister Bernard, is haunted by a scolding god and memories of her affair with a German soldier which led to betrayal and the birth of a son.
It is the story of her attempt to keep her bearings in a spinning world and draws on the grey spaces between guilt and innocence and the aching need to love and be loved.
