About the Author/作者介绍： 麥可．貝爾 Michael D. Beil 出生於俄亥俄州，在鄉下度過童年時期，做過許多農務，例如幫乳牛擠奶，整理牧草等。底特律大學法學院畢業後，貝爾擔任過律師，但後來終於找到終身志業──教師。自2001年起，貝爾在曼哈頓一間天主教女子學校任教，教授英文及戲劇課，同時也寫作。《紅外套少女偵探團》系列一推出即獲得好評，入圍艾倫坡獎最佳青少年推理小說。
