About the Author/作者介绍： Ruth Symes is an author, scriptwriter and writing tutor. Her first book, The Master of Secrets was nominated for the Carnegie. She was the resident writing coach on The Richard and Judy Show and one of the judges of their Write a Children’s Short Story competition on Channel 4. She has written many novels and picture books, including Little Rex for Piccadilly Press. Ruth thinks the next best thing to being magic is writing stories about magic. Ruth lives in Bedfordshire with her husband and golden retriever Traffy. This is her third book for Piccadilly.

Marion Lindsay is an illustrator and writer of children’s stories. She recently completed her MA in children’s book illustration at Cambridge School of Art and won the Egmont Best New Talent Award in 2010. Marion lives in Cambridge in a house of artists where much drawing, painting and model-making takes place in the living-room, and the floor can rarely be found for artwork. This is her second book for Piccadilly.
